Thank you for entering The One in the Woods in Henley - we can’t wait to welcome you to our trail race here!


Please read all of the information here carefully to ensure you arrive at the right time and are fully prepared for the run.

Before Race Day

Think about your training and what you should eat and drink in the 24 hours before the event. If you've not trained as well as you hoped, be prepared to take it easier, particularly for the first half of the race.


Plan your journey carefully - travel information for getting to the event is below.

Getting to the Race

Event village: Henley Showground, Dairy Lane,  Henley-on-Thames, Oxon, RG9 3AS

 

Race day parking is available. Use Henley Showground, Henley-on-Thames, Oxon, RG9 3AS for your sat nav. On final approach follow our yellow Car Park signs. Parking stewards will show you the best place to park within walking distance of the start line.

We also encourage you to bring bikes.

Finding Us

The event village, registration and start/finish area is visible from the parking area but it will also be sign posted.

Arrival and Start Time

The runs start at the following times:

Half Marathon: 09:30

10km: 09:30

1km: 09:15


Arrive 60 minutes before the start. We'll be ready for you from 8.00am.


On-the-day registration is available. Do you know someone else who would like to take part? Bring them along!

Registration

At registration, you'll be asked to confirm your details before collecting a race number and safety pins.


Once you have your number bib, move to the preparation area to complete the emergency details on the reverse and attach it to the front of the top you'll be running in.

Toilets

There are portable toilets in the event village. This is your only chance to go, as there won't be toilets on the route.

Bag Drop

You can leave any clothing, bags, keys and phones at our bag drop. Your race number has a tear-off strip on the bottom that should be attached to anything you leave with us.

Catering

We will have a food caterer onsite for pre and post race refreshments.

The Race

The Half Marathon and 10k races start promptly at 9.30am.


The Kids race starts at 9:15am - if you have signed up for the Half or 10k then you are welcome to run with family in the kids race.

We'll make announcements asking you to prepare to run and move into the start area shortly before the race.

The Route

All run courses are marked with signs and well marshalled.

The race takes you along a country trails, woodland paths.

Water/Food Stations

There will be water stations on the route. Water will be in cups.


There will also be water available in the event village to fill water bottles (which we encourage).

Spectators

Spectators are permitted anywhere in the start finish area or  around the route. Please be mindful of others' comfort and safety in more popular locations, including the finish area.

Finish Line

When you've recovered, collect your medal, water and snacks from next to the finish area, and don't forget to collect any belongings you've left with us.

Any lost property or left belongings will be kept for one month.

Results

A complete set of results will be posted online and emailed to all runners on Sunday afternoon.
