Grand Union Canal Half Marathon

EVENT DETAILS

Run a scenic point-to-point Half Marathon from Cowley to Watford, following the Grand Union Canal through trails, woodland and waterside paths.

Take on a Half Marathon with a difference. The One by the Canal is a scenic point-to-point trail Half Marathon starting at Cowley Recreation Ground and finishing in Cassiobury Park, Watford. The route follows the Grand Union Canal north towards Watford, combining waterside running with country trails and woodland paths along the way. With a start in Cowley and a completely different finish line waiting for you in Watford, this isn't your typical city Half Marathon. It's a brilliant autumn challenge for runners looking to swap busy roads for trails, towpaths and the beautiful surroundings of the Grand Union Canal. A pre-race coach transfer is available from the finish in Watford to the start in Cowley, allowing you to park near the finish before being transported to the start line. Your entry includes chip timing, a finisher's medal, bag drop, race photography, water stations and medical support. One canal. One journey. One Half Marathon.
