Grand Union Canal Half Marathon – November 2026

EVENT DETAILS

A point-to-point half marathon adventure along the Grand Union Canal, from Cowley to Cassiobury Park.

Escape the roads and take on 13.1 miles of trails, towpaths and woodland on The One by the Canal. Starting at Cowley Recreation Ground, the route follows the Grand Union Canal before finishing in the open green space of Cassiobury Park, Watford. It’s a proper point-to-point half marathon: scenic, varied and a little different from your standard city race. Expect canal-side running, country trails and woodland paths, with four water stations along the way and a fully marked, marshalled course. Want to make race morning easy? Park at the finish in Watford and pre-book our coach transfer to the start. Then all that’s left to do is run your way back to the car. 13.1 miles. One canal. One finish line.
